We are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Support Worker to join our team at Ontario Limited. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality support to patients in need of nursing care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities to promote physical and mental well-being.
  • Supply and empty bed pans to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, to monitor their health.
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients to ensure they receive adequate nutrition.
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients to prevent injury and promote comfort.
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to create a comfortable living space.
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines to promote physical activity and mobility.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients to promote personal hygiene and dignity.
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher to facilitate mobility.
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and provide timely assistance.
  • Collect specimens for medical testing to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations to ensure patient safety.
Certifications and Qualifications
  • First Aid Certificate to ensure you are equipped to handle medical emergencies.
  • CPR Certificate to provide life-saving interventions.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physically demanding work environment requiring attention to detail and ability to lift, bend, and move patients.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking to facilitate patient care and mobility.
  • Permanent work term with 32 hours per week to ensure a stable and predictable schedule.
  • English language proficiency to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
