A thirty (30) hour per pay period, Part-Time Permanent Personal Support Worker (PSW) - Long Term Care position is being offered in the Radiant Care Pleasant Manor Nursing department. The position involves providing safe and efficient personal care for residents, including all activities of daily living, to ensure optimum physical, social, recreational, spiritual and psychological well-being.

Scheduled Shifts
The successful candidate will be required to work the following shifts:

Tuesday 06:00-14:00
Saturday 06:00-14:00
Sunday 06:00-14:00
Friday 06:00-14:00
Tuesday 14:00-22:00
Saturday 14:00-22:00
Sunday 14:00-22:00
Friday 14:00-22:00

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have training and education in caring for seniors in long term care, demonstrated experience in caring for seniors in long term care, current CPR Certification, and valid PSW Certification.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria
This posting has been posted within Radiant Care Pleasant Manor and externally. Internal applicants will be given priority based on seniority. External candidate selection will be made based on interview. While we thank each applicant for applying, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

Duties and Responsibilities
Some responsibilities of the PSW role include:

Providing individualized service in a home-like setting
Effectively communicating with residents, staff and families
Providing excellent customer service in a respectful, courteous and pleasant manner
Observing and reporting changes in resident's status
Recording necessary data on resident health and provision of service
Sharing responsibility for care of equipment in the home and personal belongings of residents
Working co-operatively with team members
Participating in quality improvement activities, in-service sessions, training as required
