We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a Sales Manager, you will play a critical role in driving strategic same-store sales growth through educating customers on category management opportunities, foodservice programs, and business solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Growing Sales: Develop and execute strategies to grow sales with convenience and foodservice program offerings, meeting targeted plans.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with the operations team to ensure effective inventory control and food safety operations.
- Sales Enablement: Maintain current knowledge of selling technology and enterprise strategies, and execute them daily with the sales team.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance and productivity goals through data reporting.
- Marketing Strategies: Develop pricing and marketing go-to-market strategies for single convenience store operators and large regional convenience store chain customers.
- Leadership: Lead sales meetings, participate in conferences and trade shows, and conduct weekly field visits with sales personnel.
- Relationship Building: Foster relationships with existing and prospective customers, and develop, train, and mentor sales personnel on current and new company sales initiatives.
- Travel: 50% driving travel required, with some overnight stays.
- Skills: Excellent customer service, internal communication skills, and knowledge of the industry; proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills, specifically with data analysis.
