Job Title: Youth Program Coordinator


Job Summary:


The Youth Program Coordinator is responsible for leading the co-creation and delivery of youth engagement programming and services for new immigrant youth. This role involves the development of program activities, materials, and workshops on topics such as cross-cultural communication, leadership, health and wellbeing, and post-secondary opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:



  1. Co-create and deliver program activities for groups of youth aged 13-24.
  2. Develop materials and manuals for workshops on key topics.
  3. Organize social and cross-cultural events and field trips.
  4. Support settlement and integration needs of the age group.
  5. Develop program participant intake procedures and conduct intake interviews.
  6. Provide information and referral services to program participants.
  7. Prepare program reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  8. Participate in community and government consultations related to youth services.
  9. Attend program planning meetings and contribute to team discussions.

Requirements:



  • Degree in Child and Youth Care, Psychology, or Social Work with relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of immigrant and youth settlement issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training programs and materials.
  • Able to make public presentations and group facilitation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Sound knowledge of community resources and ability to network and build partnerships.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer and internet skills.
