Job Title: Youth Program Coordinator - Community Development

Job Summary:

The Youth Program Coordinator - Community Development is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of youth programs and services at DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society. The successful candidate will have a strong background in youth settlement and integration, with experience in program coordination and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement youth programs and services that meet the needs of new immigrant youth between the ages of 13 and 24.
  • Co-create and deliver program activities for groups of youth, including workshops, social events, and field trips.
  • Develop materials and manuals for workshops on topics such as cross-cultural communication, leadership, health and wellbeing, and post-secondary opportunities.
  • Organize and facilitate community and government consultations related to the delivery and enhancement of youth services.
  • Prepare program reports and participate in program planning and review meetings.
  • Develop marketing materials and conduct promotional activities to recruit program participants.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Child and Youth Care, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience in youth settlement and integration, program coordination, and administration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to speak one of the languages of the refugee client population.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
