About The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Software Developer for our west-end client. Our client is a software company headquartered in Kanata, with multiple offices worldwide to serve their global client base. Reporting to the Development Manager, this person will join a growing agile team of skilled Developers that build enterprise-level, custom software solutions in a mission-critical environment.

Our client employs a diverse range of tech stacks, including Java, C# (.NET), Golang, Ruby, Python, and more. They value attitude, aptitude, and problem-solving ability over the perfect technical fit. This role will heavily involve the use of C# and Java, in particular, as well as extensive use of Kubernetes.

This is a permanent position with one of the region's top employers. Our client is known for their socially-relevant product/technology and progressive culture/work-life balance. They also offer a comprehensive perks package in addition to salary. They employ a hybrid model consisting of two days/week in their Kanata office.

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  2. 7+ years of object-oriented programming experience using C# and/or Java, ideally within a custom solution or product environment
  3. Versatile skill set and background using various other languages, frameworks, and tools is a strong asset; Ruby, Golang, Python, Angular, React, etc.
  4. Experience in areas such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), microservices, etc. is a strong asset
  5. Team-first mentality as well as the ability to work autonomously
