Embedded Software Engineer

BlackBerry QNX is a trusted supplier of safe and secure operating systems, hypervisors, frameworks, and development tools. We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop drivers for various hardware peripherals, including adaptation of existing drivers for embedded platforms.
  • Enhance existing software and performance tune BSP development.
  • Develop new driver architectures to support future hardware peripheral advancements.
  • Ensure software meets quality standards.
  • Develop software under specialized safety standards such as ISO26262 and IEC61508.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Junior to Senior level of expertise in software development.
  • In-depth knowledge of C and Assembly programming languages.
  • Hands-on development experience using embedded operating systems (QNX, Linux, GreenHills, VXworks preferred).
  • Prior experience in driver development is essential.
  • Experience writing software for major processor architectures (ARM, x86, PPC, etc.).
