About the Role

Roquette is a global leader in plant-based ingredients and pharmaceutical excipients, seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Automation Systems Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the efficient operation of process control systems and OT network equipment within the plant.
  • Maintain the integrity of the automation network architecture, hardware, and software.
  • Ensure site OT network security and implement cyber security policies.
  • Design, control, implement, and maintain OT network systems.
  • Manage local user and site bastion accounts, add computers to the OT domain, install and restore computers, and schedule Windows patch installation.
  • Work with safety implemented systems, design and control, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Ensure domain administration for all servers, switches, and equipment.
  • Perform regular maintenance and backups of OT equipment.
  • Design and implement automation systems correctly.
  • Participate in the design, engineering, and deployment of new automation projects.
  • Perform functional analysis and ensure process control requirements are met.
  • Modify programming based on change requests or process optimization.
  • Work with the automation department from global engineering.
  • Assist in development and commissioning of new and ongoing automation projects.
  • Provide support during hardware and software upgrades.
  • Follow ISO and GMP standards.
  • Repair or replace automation equipment that has failed.
  • Respect regulatory constraints and Roquette defined standards.
  • Integrate external and internal regulatory modifications.
Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of distributed control systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
  • Well-developed computer skills.
  • Ability to read and understand PIDs, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Professional verbal communication skills.
  • On-call duties and call-in required.
Education and Experience

Red Seal Journeyman or Technical Degree and/or equivalent working experience as an Industrial Instrumentation Mechanic, Instrumentation Technologist/Technician, or in the field of Process control and automation. Equivalent experience will be considered.

3 to 5 years of experience working in manufacturing or in the food industry in a similar role.
