About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to join our team at LevelUP HCS, driving financial excellence and regulatory compliance in our Canada operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and taxation, with experience in managing complex financial reporting requirements, audit processes, and tax provisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage financial reporting, including preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, in accordance with IFRS and IIROC/CIRO rules;
  • Liaise with internal resources to ensure timely completion of financial reporting deliverables;
  • Develop and implement effective internal controls to support financial, tax, and treasury functions;
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulators to ensure seamless audit processes;
  • Maintain expertise in broker dealer, banking, and tax regulations (e.g. CIRO, OSC, CRA);
Requirements and Qualifications
  • University degree in business or related fields;
  • Qualified Accountant (CPA) or equivalent;
  • 5-8+ years of Accounting/Finance experience in Broker dealer, Banking, Auditing and control, Capital markets, Financial services industry;
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills;
  • Strong sense of accountability and self-motivation;
  • Understanding of financial and non-financial risk management of financial institution;
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as excellent benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
