Job Summary

As a Packaging Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up and qualifying filling/packaging equipment to ensure efficient processing of the line. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and qualify filling/packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems
  • Develop skills and progress to increasingly complex maintenance tasks
  • Train packaging technicians on equipment setup and basic troubleshooting
  • Support team members to deliver expected business results
  • Perform tasks in a safe manner and maintain good housekeeping practices

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years' technical experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry
  • Successful completion of the PEDQP Technical Skill Enhancement Program or a 2 to 3-year College diploma in a technical program
  • Proven preventative maintenance skills and ability to positively influence team results
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
