Strategic Leadership Opportunity

Sun Life Financial is seeking a seasoned actuarial professional to lead our Defined Benefit Solutions (DBS) business in Canada. As Director, Client Relationships, you will play a critical role in driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and managing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the strategic direction of DBS, including market segmentation and business development in Canada and other geographies.
  • Collect and analyze market information to inform business decisions and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Partner with the DBS Structuring team to achieve annual sales and VNB targets.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing with plan sponsors and consultants.
  • Contribute to thought leadership pieces, presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Lead a high-performing team and develop a pipeline of talent.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of actuarial experience working with defined benefit pension plans.
  • Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or statistics.
  • FCIA designation is a strong asset.
  • Strong project management and people management skills.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
