Program Financial Consultant

As a key member of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre team, you will play a critical role in providing expert financial analysis and planning support to various hospital programs. Your expertise will enable effective and efficient resource management, ensuring the highest quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide detailed analysis of financial and statistical results, business cases, and budgets.
  • Trend and forecast program results, providing recommendations to program management, financial management, and senior leadership.
  • Communicate with program personnel and finance accounting personnel regarding results, and occasionally with vendors regarding invoices.
  • Assist program and leadership with budgeting, working with programs to develop their budgets and assisting director and program leadership with budget assumptions and consolidation.
  • Educate new managers and staff regarding budget tools, use of the Meditech general ledger, and MIS guidelines as required.
  • Provide program management with advice regarding budgets, MIS reporting, Ministry financial/statistical requirements.
  • Review and assist programs with statistical reporting for the LHIN, MOHLTC, and other provincial agencies, and communicate with external clients regarding reporting results.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a university degree program (B.Comm, M.B.A. or equivalent) and/or professional designation program (CMA/CGA/CA).
  • Minimum of 2 years of financial analysis experience in a healthcare organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff.
  • Sound organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Advanced data management and statistical analysis skills.
  • Commitment to RVH vision, mission, and values.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications.
