About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Performance Specialist to join our team at Toromont Cat. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and ensuring the financial stability of our organization.

Job Summary

The Financial Performance Specialist will be responsible for ongoing process improvements, including parts reconciliation, core receivables, miscellaneous parts, and reman core accounting. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze part variances and identify areas for improvement in parts reconciliation processes.
  • Determine tolerance levels for items to be analyzed and implement controls to ensure accuracy.
  • Work closely with the Parts department and other branches to assist with processes and controls.
  • Complete monthly reconciliations for parts, core receivables, and parts reserve and branch obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with the Product Support Accounting Manager and CAT core supervisor to ensure proper accounting for Reman and CAT cores.
Requirements
  • CPA designation or nearing completion.
  • 5+ years of experience in General Accounting.
  • Mindset for continuous improvement, results-driven, analytical, and excellent problem-solving capacity.
  • Proactive team player with high initiative and integrity.
  • Effective decision-making and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills.
  • Organized and able to adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly proficient with computers and systems, including Excel.
