Your Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Strategist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the execution of our ambitious product development and management strategy, with a particular focus on expanding our private and liquid alternatives solutions, as well as evolving our global equity and fixed income offerings in all jurisdictions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will oversee investment products research, peer and landscape analysis for AGF, developing new product ideas to grow our offerings globally across all lines of business.
  • You will develop and present business cases for new investment products, including competitor analysis, market intelligence and sizing.
  • You will advise the business on optimal product structures and characteristics for distribution globally, considering vehicle structures and regulatory regimes.
  • You will collaborate with Product Operations and Governance to manage the execution of launches from business acceptance through to delivery, partnering with senior stakeholders to drive implementation.
  • You will oversee strategic product restructuring initiatives.
  • You will serve as a senior member of the team, managing junior/mid-level team members.
  • You will build strong relationships with internal teams across the business.
  • You will participate in industry body working groups and engage with industry associations.
  • You will work collaboratively with Marketing & Innovation to support Distribution with effective marketing plans and materials, knowledge and training for product structures and investment solutions.

Qualifications:

  • You must have at least 7 years' experience in investment product development and/or global product structuring, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in structuring alternative investment solutions (private and/or liquid).
  • You should have knowledge of Canadian, U.S., and Europe-domiciled investment product related vehicles, including a working knowledge of investment strategies and styles employed by fixed income, equity, and alternative portfolio managers.
  • Prior experience with pool fund trusts, limited partnerships, LLCs, offshore feeders, UCITs is preferred.
  • You should have an understanding of operational aspects of alternative product development, such as capital call processes.
  • You should have strong knowledge of investment industry services and distribution channels.
  • You must have people management experience.
  • You should be able to build relationships with teams across the organization, possessing excellent interpersonal skills and working effectively with individuals across cultures, functions, and levels of seniority.
  • An undergraduate degree is required, while a CFA, MBA, or Master's in Finance or Economics, CAIA is a plus.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this role is $140,000-$160,000, depending on experience.
