Internal Medicine Specialist Wanted in Yarmouth

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled General Internist to join their team in Yarmouth. As a member of our Internal Medicine department, you will have the opportunity to work with a collegial group of physicians and provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full scope of practice internist services, including inpatient and outpatient care.
- Participate in call shifts and provide support to your own site and others in the Western Zone as needed.
- Be responsible to the Zone Department Head for Internal Medicine for your professional responsibilities and quality of practice.
- Operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
- Participate in teaching both family medicine and internal medicine residents and fellows.
Expected Hours:
- Full-time position with on-call requirement for Internal Medicine (1:7).
- Weekly coverage for ICU and Internal Medicine hospitalist, during which time you will provide outpatient care appropriate to your subspecialty.
Qualifications:
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
