Job Summary

The Sales Representative will be responsible for growing and developing sales and margins of MSI countertop products with fabricators and K&B's within an assigned geographic territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with current and potential customers within the territory
  • Provide knowledge and training to customers on MSI products to ensure effective presentation and negotiation
  • Understand product offerings, market competition, and positioning strategies
  • Manage displays, samples, and selling tools for customer availability
  • Consult with dealers on retail pricing, advertising, promotions, and ROI
  • Quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales contracts for customer orders
  • Estimate delivery dates based on company schedules
  • Review and analyze sales reports to identify sales potential
  • Utilize marketing tools to broaden reach and promote products
  • Research and analyze customer needs and demands
  • Investigate and resolve customer claims and problems
  • Attend trade shows as required
  • Travel 40-80% locally, nationally, and internationally

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Two plus years of experience in channel distribution sales
  • Minimum two years of related industry experience in natural stone, slab, or hard flooring
  • Minimum two years of outside B2B sales experience
  • Strong math skills and ability to determine solutions for customers
  • Results-oriented with ability to work independently and within a team
  • Intermediate computer proficiency
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%

  • Industry experience in countertop, distribution, and building materials sales
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Confidence and motivation to work towards targets
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well alone or within a team
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving
  • Resilience to deal with customers who turn down opportunities
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
