We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Mental Health Nurse Specialist in Guelph, Ontario.

About the Role

This is a permanent part-time position that offers a unique opportunity to work with individuals experiencing mental health issues. As a Registered Nurse, you will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience working with mood and anxiety patients. A certificate in mental health nursing and/or experience in charge nurse roles would be an asset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care on the MASTRS/OASIS unit as required
  • Contribute to fluctuating patient care needs according to CNO standards and RNAO Best Practice Guidelines
  • Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as assigned, and direct the work of others
  • Administer psychiatric and non-psychiatric medications and treatments

  • Licensed as an RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing
  • BScN and CPMHN(C) preferred
  • 2 + years recent experience working with mood and anxiety patients is preferred
  • Mental Health Nursing certificate preferred
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, pension plan, and opportunities for professional development.
