Job Summary:

The Part-Time Assistant Equipment Manager, Hockey will support the Equipment Manager with the day-to-day operations of the hockey equipment room, ensuring proper fitting of uniforms and equipment, tracking equipment, and maintaining equipment to ensure compliance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and carry out the laundering needs of the hockey program, including both apparel and uniforms.
  • Support the Equipment Manager with the daily operation of the equipment room and ensure hockey changerooms for teams and referees are kept in professional, organizational order and replenished with supplies.
  • Under the supervision of the Equipment Manager, ensure equipment coordination is in place, including skate sharpening, and remain on site for scheduled hockey practices and pre- and post-games.
  • Pack equipment and ensure proper transportation/delivery for game day operations.
  • Attend both home and travel to away games.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment as required.
