Job Title: Construction Labourer

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at Castlemore Homes. As a Construction Labourer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Construction Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the construction site.
  • Erect and Dismantle Concrete Forms, Scaffolding, Ramps, Catwalks, Shoring, and Barricades: Assist in the erection and dismantling of concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Assist in the mixing, pouring, and spreading of materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Assist Medical Examiner in Charge: Provide support to the medical examiner in charge as needed.
  • Pave and Rake Asphalt: Assist in paving and raking asphalt as required.
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials as needed.
  • Clean Up Chemical Spills and Other Contaminants: Assist in cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Remove Rubble and Other Debris: Remove rubble and other debris from the construction site.
  • Tend or Feed Machines or Equipment: Assist in tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Direct Traffic: Assist in directing traffic at or near the construction site.
Requirements:
  • Physical Demands: This role requires a physically demanding work environment with fast-paced activities, tight deadlines, and manual dexterity.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with equipment and machinery such as bobcats, reciprocating saws, circular saws, concrete saws, drills, and sledgehammers is an asset.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available for this role.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, manual dexterity, and the ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Weight Handling: The ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) is required.
  • Personal Suitability: We are looking for a team player with efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, reliability, and a client-focused approach.
