Job Summary


The Benefits Associate plays a vital role in providing exceptional client support and services. This position involves collaborating with advisors to build strong relationships with clients, while ensuring their needs are met through comprehensive client care.


Key Responsibilities



  • Customer Service
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, exceeding client expectations with every interaction.
  • Client Renewals
  • Coordinate client renewals, manage timelines, and ensure accurate documentation and processes.
  • Client Inquiries
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries, explain benefits options, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Carrier Negotiations
  • Negotiate pricing with benefit carriers to secure favorable terms for clients.
  • Advisor Support
  • Assist advisors in preparing for finalist meetings and producing benefit plan options and proposals.
  • Client File Management
  • Manage large client files with attention to detail, ensuring accurate recording, secure storage, and easy accessibility.
  • Benefits Knowledge
  • Provide accurate and thorough answers to client requests, demonstrating a deep understanding of benefit plans.
  • Carrier Communication
  • Communicate with carriers on client issues, maintaining good relationships and finding solutions to problems.
  • Client Experience
  • Deliver a seamless client experience from start to finish, managing expectations and providing consistent service.
  • Team Support
  • Assist in training Benefits Administrators, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance team performance.
  • Reporting and Analytics
  • Review and analyze plan pricing, design, and administration, providing recommendations to advisors.

Requirements



  • University degree or acceptable combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of benefits experience required.
  • Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation or willingness to obtain.
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to take initiative and work proactively.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Enthusiastic, respectful, and high professional with uncompromised confidentiality.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingualism considered an asset.
  • Located in London, ON considered an asset.
