About the Role

Dentons Canada is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Talent team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on employee relations, talent planning, and recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee HR operations and processes for the Edmonton office staff, ensuring compliance with established policies and practices.
  • Manage one direct report, providing coaching and guidance on HR matters, including employee relations and sensitive issues.
  • Administer employee leave programs, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and tracking leave balances.
  • Support efforts to drive positive engagement, identifying key trends and issues, and making recommendations for changes and enhancements.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with all Dentons members, building trust and credibility to create a safe and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
  • HR designation is an asset.
  • Minimum five plus years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist role.
  • Experience in a professional services organization or law firm preferred.
