Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at the Vulcan Hotel. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing kitchen operations, leading a team of cooks, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities
  • Determine food portions and costs, plan menus, and estimate food requirements for our hotel restaurants and banquet events.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely delivery and minimal waste.
  • Prepare and cook meals to meet the highest standards of taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing stockouts and overstocking.
  • Clean and maintain the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a fast-paced hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, with the ability to implement effective systems.
  • The ability to work well under pressure, meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
  • English language proficiency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
