Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Coordinator, Oncology Chemo to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our oncology department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule appointments, diagnostic tests, and procedures for patients in the oncology department.
  • Process clinician orders, prepare requisitions, and communicate with patients and healthcare teams as needed.
  • Organize and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring timely and efficient access to information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.

Requirements

  • Grade 12, medical terminology, and graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk Program, plus one year's recent, related experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including standing, walking, and lifting.
