Job Summary

The University Library is seeking a skilled Technology Support Assistant to provide routine technology support to faculty and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for updating content on the Library website, assisting with the deployment of new equipment, and performing routine updates of faculty and staff computers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Update content on the Library website and other similar venues as directed
  • Assist with the deployment of new equipment
  • Perform routine updates of faculty and staff computers
  • Update the Library Intranet as directed
  • Track updates and equipment, and maintain records in a centralized source
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of faculty and staff computers and peripherals

Requirements:

  • Course work or work experience in Computer Science or other technology-focused areas
  • Familiarity with PC hardware components and their functions
  • Demonstrated computer skills and working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office 365, and other broadly used computer software
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software and hardware configurations
