Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team at Regina Public Library. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, building relationships with the community, and promoting library services.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Deliver proactive customer-focused library services while ensuring the highest standards of customer service are met. Maintain customer relationships by responding to inquiries and documenting action.
  • Program Hosting: Host engaging and enriching programs and activities, both in the Library and out in the community, under the direction of a supervisor according to established standardized event/program guidelines.
  • Technical Support: Show customers how to use technology throughout the library, including self-check outs, 3D printers, copiers, personal devices, and more.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support and assistance to the branch, including entering data in the long-term schedule and submitting it for supervisor approval.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of grade 12.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in an environment where customer service is a core focus, preferably in a related field.
  • Skills: Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, public speaking skills, and the ability to adjust communication style to interact effectively with customers of different ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $49,414 - $58,400 based on a 35-hour workweek and assuming a 52-week year. This estimate may vary depending on individual circumstances.
