About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Calian Group Ltd. as a Military Mental Health Professional for the Canadian Armed Forces.

Job Summary

This part-time position involves providing psychological assessment and treatment services to military members at CFB Comox. The ideal candidate will have an interest in treating operational trauma, occupational health, and working with the military population.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct psycho-diagnostic assessments with adults, including differential diagnosis.
  • Provide professional services related to diagnosis, assessment, evaluation, treatment, and prevention of psychological disorders in adults.
  • Administer diagnostic tests, interpret results, and prepare psychological evaluations.
  • Report findings to the multi-disciplinary team and provide treatment recommendations.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and trauma processing therapies, for various mental health conditions.
  • Participate in case reviews and contribute to the development of mental health programming.
  • Assist in identifying, developing, and evolving mental health initiatives.
Requirements
  • A degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university (Canadian Psychological Association or American Psychological Association).
  • Registration as a Psychologist and authorization for autonomous practice with the relevant provincial licensing body.
  • At least 2 years of full-time post-graduate experience, within the last 5 years, completing psycho-diagnostic assessments and providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for adults with PTSD, anxiety, mood disorders, and other mental health illnesses.
Additional Requirements
  • Eligibility to attain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $125 to $135 per hour. This is a rewarding position that offers a great work-life balance, with 2 days a week available during clinic operation from Monday to Friday, daytime working hours.
