Job Description

Rise People is seeking a highly skilled Senior Vice President, Asset Management to lead our operations and drive strategic growth.

About the Role

This key position will oversee various departments, including Human Resources, IT, and Finance, ensuring efficient operations and cost-effective systems are in place to meet our current and future needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives, managing multiple teams and projects, and providing updates to our President on Institute performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership:
    • Oversight of resource allocation to implement organizational policies.
    • Development and implementation of strategic initiatives in organizational development, people management, and infrastructure strategy.
    • Mentorship and support for staff development, ensuring alignment with Institute objectives.
  • Financial, Resource, and IT Infrastructure Management:
    • Overseeing financial planning, reviews, approvals, budgeting, reporting, and forecasting.
    • Procurement, vendor selection, and contracts related to financial, physical, and IT infrastructure resources.
    • Compliance with relevant financial, IT, and infrastructure policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Review and approval of cost-control reports, estimates, and staffing requirements.
  • Administration:
    • Strategic planning process across areas of responsibility, addressing opportunities and challenges.
    • Establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
    • Engagement in internal and external committees and working groups.
    • Representation at the senior executive level and spokesperson duties as needed.
    • Effective communication of Institute mission, values, and achievements to stakeholders.
  • Supervision:

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  1. Specific Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of Indigenous culture, traditions, and communities.
  • Knowledge in fiscal management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Skills and Attributes:
  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, focusing on performance and operational efficiency.
  • Financial Acumen: Deep knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Understanding of IT systems and infrastructure, overseeing technology implementations.
  • Human Resources Knowledge: Familiarity with HR practices, talent management, employee relations, and employment law compliance.
  • Facilities Management: Knowledge of facilities operations, including maintenance, health and safety, and building regulations compliance.
  • Problem-solving & Decision-making: Strong analytical skills, making informed decisions based on data and organizational needs.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timely completion.

With an estimated salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, this role offers excellent compensation and opportunities for professional growth.
