Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Specialist to join our team at Michael Garron Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to creating a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing programs, policies, and initiatives to advance our equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging priorities. They will work closely with senior leadership, staff, and external partners to identify, diagnose, measure, and dismantle systemic barriers to equity and inclusion.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EDIB goals and strategies into MGH's processes, policies, and practices
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a new EDIB strategy, in alignment with the hospital's strategic plan
  • Lead the implementation of the EDIB work plan objectives and priorities
  • Develop and implement an enterprise-wide EDIB framework
  • Conduct audits of related policies, procedures, and processes to identify systemic bias
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert and advisor on matters of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and social accountability
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience developing and implementing EDIB programs, policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in equity, diversity, inclusion, and social justice
  • Excellent judgment and discretion when engaging with diverse communities
  • Experience establishing/maintaining trusting relationships with all levels of staff
  • Demonstrated experience in group facilitation, organizational change, and team dynamics
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline (human resources, equity studies, human rights, sociology, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PMP certification or equivalent an asset
Estimated Salary Range

$85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
