Job Title: Infrastructure Team Lead

Burgundy Diamond Mines is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Team Lead to join our team at the Ekati Mine site in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all waste management activities, including landfill maintenance, incinerator building operation, potable water deliveries, sewer truck operation, and waste management building operations. They will also oversee the camp, catering, and janitorial contract, assign work and supervise the performance of personnel, and develop and maintain positive working relationships in a unionized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee waste management activities, including landfill maintenance and incinerator building operation
  • Support and oversee the camp, catering, and janitorial contract
  • Assign work and supervise the performance of personnel
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships in a unionized environment
  • Manage and oversee the budget and invoice payments through the Service Entry Sheets in SAP
  • Support the aviation services teams with all inbound/outbound flights and passenger movement
  • Manage OPEX/CAPEX for the departments through continuous improvement and engage in departmental improvement projects

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience
  • Valid supervisory ticket
  • Food safe level 2 certification
  • Valid first-aid ticket
  • Class 5 drivers license required for area inspections
  • Knowledge and understanding of Transport Canada's CARS/NAV Canada regulations
  • Ability to influence others and drive continuous improvement without direct report control
  • Ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure
  • Working knowledge of SAP and strong computer literacy with willingness to learn new computer skills
