About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in the delivery of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of construction work packages, ensuring compliance with approved designs and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and provide leadership to project coordinator engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors, monitoring performance and integrating work sequences to avoid conflicts and delays.
  • Responsible for progress made on construction, ensuring completion in compliance with scope of work, contract/subcontractor requirements, schedules, budget, and quality standards.
  • Interpret and implement technical specifications, assessing site conditions and determining design modifications as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and monitoring for work packages.
  • Responsible for proper supervision on site during operations and execution of work.
  • Maintain quality of construction using Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) process, involving actual testing of materials and review of QC data.
  • Control subcontract closeout checklist workflow, including confirmation of substantial completion, performance metric reporting, and final release.
  • Collaborate with Mine Manager, Health and Safety Manager, Environmental Regulator Manager, Engineering Manager, Quality Manager, and Construction Manager to ensure work packages are completed with knowledge of other Construction Work packages.
  • Assist project engineer with preparation of monthly reports on work package progress, schedule, and budget compliance assessment.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Geosciences, or related technical/business field or equivalent related experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in construction supervision and management.
  • 5+ years of work experience in heavy civil, northern mining, or remediation projects, working in Northern Canada.
  • Knowledgeable of industry practices and regulations.
  • Experience managing on-site activities of multiple subcontractors and addressing performance issues.
