At China Steel Inc., we are seeking a skilled Welder and Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.

The ideal candidate will have experience with gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and be proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables. They will also be responsible for fitting and assembling components and machine parts to close tolerance, documenting and reporting deviations from specifications and tolerances, and maintaining inspection records and completing inspection reports.

The Welder and Fabricator will work in a general manufacturing setting, operating brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines. They will also be responsible for maintaining and performing minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including dental and health care plans, group insurance benefits, and life insurance. The position is permanent, with a 40-44 hour workweek.

The successful candidate will be fluent in English and have a strong understanding of non-ferrous materials, stainless steel, and steel, iron, and heavy metals. They will also have experience with custom fabrication and be able to verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments.
