Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review large corporate tax returns, identifying planning opportunities;
  • Prepare special tax forms (branch tax returns, Regulation 105, T2057, etc.)
  • Identify tax issues, interpret and apply tax laws;
  • Prepare planning notes and support managers and partners in implementing tax planning strategies.

Requirements:

  • Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) or a lawyer or CICA In-Depth Tax Course; or a Master of Tax in progress;
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities, including ingenuity, analytical skills, and creativity;
  • Exceptional technical skills and attention to detail;
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, TaxPrep, TaxnetPro/CCH or similar tax research software;
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to present information clearly to clients and colleagues;
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Salary: Estimated $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.

Language: English is considered an asset for business reasons and to serve external and/or internal English-speaking customers.
