About the Role

Richter is seeking a highly skilled Tax Advisory Associate/Manager to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our U.S. Advisory group, you will play a critical role in providing strategic tax advice to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in cross-border transactions, collaborating with senior managers, vice-presidents, and partners to deliver exceptional results.
  • Assist in corporate and high-net-worth individual personal tax planning, ensuring compliance with U.S. tax laws.
  • Research and interpret U.S. tax legislation, applying your expertise to drive business growth.
  • Review and prepare U.S. corporate, partnership, trust, individual federal, and state tax returns, maintaining the highest level of accuracy.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.

Requirements

  • Approximately 3-6 years of relevant experience in tax advisory and/or tax compliance.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility, availability, and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Good judgment, open-mindedness, and a strong sense of client service and professionalism.
  • Bilingualism is required for this role.
