About the Role

Richter is seeking a highly skilled Tax Advisory Associate/Manager to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our U.S. Advisory group, you will play a critical role in providing strategic tax advice to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in cross-border transactions, collaborating with senior managers, vice-presidents, and partners to deliver exceptional results.
  • Assist in corporate and high-net-worth individual tax planning, leveraging your expertise in U.S. tax issues.
  • Research and interpret tax legislation, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for our clients.
  • Conduct research and analysis on international tax treaties, providing valuable insights to our team.
  • Prepare and review U.S. corporate, partnership, trust, individual federal, and state tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Participate in regular training sessions, sharing your knowledge with junior team members and contributing to their growth.

What We're Looking For

  • Approximately 3-6 years of relevant experience in tax advisory and/or tax compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines, ensuring exceptional results.
  • Intellectual curiosity and creativity, with a passion for tax planning and compliance.
  • Flexibility and availability, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Good judgment and open-mindedness, with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Strong team spirit and ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Strong sense of client service and professionalism, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
  • Bilingualism required for this role.
