Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting and Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at AppleOne. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and match invoices to purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies;
  • Process bi-weekly cheque runs and monthly business office remittances, maintaining precise records and reconciliation of accounts;
  • Reconcile manufacturer statements, sublet and payables schedules, and electronic transfer payments account, identifying and resolving any discrepancies;
  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records, ensuring seamless financial operations;
  • Prepare monthly analysis of expense accounts using Microsoft Excel, providing valuable insights for informed decision-making;
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries, fostering strong relationships and resolving issues efficiently;
  • Prepare and complete month-end expense posting and closing, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance;
  • Track and reconcile all Prepaid and Accrual accounts, ensuring transparency and accountability;
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits, demonstrating expertise and professionalism;
  • Balancing of Intercompany Accounts on a monthly basis, maintaining precise financial records.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field;
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting, preferably with knowledge of the accounting cycle;
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and ability to learn new software quickly;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts effectively;
  • CDK experience is an asset, as well as knowledge of other DMS systems like Reynolds & Reynolds;
  • Automotive accounting experience is also considered a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary range of $52,000 to $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
