You will be responsible for managing general entries, reconciliations, and financial statements while working in a dynamic, collaborative setting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform full-cycle accounting duties, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and managing month-end close processes.
  • Oversee accounting for loans, commercial lending, and mortgage portfolios, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in adherence to IFRS/GAAP standards.
  • Manage financial data and reporting using SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Support audits by compiling documentation, resolving inquiries, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data related to lending operations.
  • Provide insights and improvements to accounting processes and systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA/CA designation or actively pursuing one (preferred but not required).
  • Minimum 4 years of overall experience in accounting, with significant exposure to loan accounting, commercial lending, or mortgage operations.
  • Previous experience in a banking or financial services environment is required.
  • Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong skills in general entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards in Downtown Toronto.
