Strategic Human Resources Liaison for Beaumont

The City of Beaumont is a vibrant and rapidly growing community in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region, offering a unique opportunity to drive change and support employee engagement. As a Strategic Human Resources Liaison, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that HR initiatives align with the city's vision.
Key Responsibilities:- Talent Acquisition and Retention: Lead the recruitment lifecycle, from active sourcing to selection, onboarding, and retention strategies. Champion employee programs, including grants, internships, wellness, and development initiatives.
- Sources and attracts top talent through various channels
- Develops and implements effective onboarding processes
- Employee/Labour Relations: Provide guidance and support to managers in proactively addressing employee concerns, conducting conflict resolution, and facilitating workplace investigations to mitigate potential risks. Offer expertise in managing sensitive issues, helping to maintain a fair and consistent approach across teams.
- Provides counsel on labour relations matters
- Facilitates workplace investigations and conflict resolution
- Performance Review Program: Coordinates the performance review process, ensuring consistency and alignment across teams. Creates and fosters collaborative relationships with client groups on managing performance and provides recommendations to enhance performance.
- Develops and implements performance management processes
- Fosters collaboration between teams and departments
- Disability Management: Guides managers through the disability management process, serving as a liaison between insurance providers, employees, and the organization.
- Coordinates disability management processes
- Liaises with insurance providers and employees
- Generalist Duties & Compliance: Promotes HR programs to create a positive and efficient work environment. Educates staff on programs, policies, maintains accurate personnel records, and provides management with guidance on various HR matters.

- Training and Facilitation: Collaborates in the design and assists in facilitating training sessions focused on employee development, compliance, and effective communication. Leads onboarding sessions to welcome new hires, assess ongoing learning needs, and coach managers on performance management best practices.
- Designs and delivers training sessions
- Clients new hires and coaches managers on performance management
- A degree or diploma in Human Resource Management, Business, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
- Proven experience in recruitment, employee/labour relations, program management, and compliance
- Experience in facilitation and presentation skills, with a background in delivering training sessions, workshops, or presentations to various audiences is an asset
- An estimated annual salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 based on qualifications and experience
