Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, and ensuring the smooth operation of our retail store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of sales staff
  • Assign sales workers to duties and tasks
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of sales staff
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash
  • Order merchandise and authorize return of merchandise
  • Establish work schedules and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory and oversee safety of operations
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff and conduct performance reviews
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail sales environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
