About the Role
Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mental Health Therapist to join our team of professionals providing mental health services to adolescents and youth.
Job Summary
We are looking for a Psychologist with expertise in Early Psychosis Intervention to provide high-quality psychological services to individuals and families affected by serious mental health problems.
Main Responsibilities
- To provide assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation services to clients in a multidisciplinary team setting;
- To work collaboratively with team members and community care networks to ensure comprehensive care;
- To provide psychological treatment to individuals and families, selecting from various treatment approaches based on client needs, personality, and level of functioning;
- To conduct assessments through interviewing, behavioral observation, self-report inventories, and psychologist-administered test batteries;
- To prepare comprehensive written assessments and reports;
- To participate in team meetings, decision-making processes, and clinical case conferences;
- To maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from a recognized university;
- Current registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia;
- Three years recent related experience in mental health services, including adolescent and youth mental health or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience;
- Valid Class V BC Driver's license and possession of a personal vehicle with business insurance coverage;
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in working with adolescents, family therapy, and group therapy;
- Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic criteria, crisis intervention, child protection legislation, and service delivery systems;
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing;
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
Salary
$83,491 - $113,615 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
