Electrical Trade Manager

NAC Constructors Ltd. is a leading Canadian construction company specializing in water and wastewater construction projects.
Role OverviewThe Electrical Trade Manager will play a critical role in managing and supervising electrical site construction work, ensuring high standards of health and safety, quality, and productivity are met daily.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with experience managing up to 20 electrical tradespeople, including apprentices. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is also essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Manage and supervise electrical site construction work to ensure timely completion and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of NAC's Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures.
- Built strong relationships with the site team, project workforce, subcontractors, suppliers, owner, and engineer.
- Responsible for proper material storage, protection, and maintenance to prevent loss or damage.
- Plan, inspect, and control tools for optimal use and care.
- Ensure site organization and cleanliness, including materials storage and tool cribs.
- Organize and control material purchases to minimize waste and unnecessary costs.
- Provide weekly planning aids to the Project Superintendent.
- Understand and administer collective agreements and NAC's policies and procedures.
- Interpret contract drawings and specifications for effective purchasing and execution.
- Communicate quality, quantity, and scope changes to the Project Superintendent and Trade Operations Manager.
- Assist in preparing claims for extra work and advising on possible savings due to changes.
- Ensure all work performed is within the contract and requires authorization from the Project Superintendent.
- Provide technical expertise for RFIs, RFS, CRX, commissioning plans, and requisitions.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Foreperson or in a supervisory role, managing up to 20 electrical tradespeople.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient use of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to assess trade performance and lead effectively.
