To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and in good standing
  • Experience in Home and Community Care is an asset
  • Current BCLS certification (Level C)
  • Demonstrated clinical assessment and patient/family teaching skills
  • Effective communication skills

You will also need to possess:

  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for community homecare
  • A clear and updated Vulnerable Sector Check within the last six months
  • An up-to-date TB test within the last two years
  • Your own stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, and Sphygmomanometer

This specialty program focuses on Peritoneal Dialysis, Wound Care, IV Management, Diabetic Care, and Post Operative Care in the community. We expect our candidates to demonstrate values of compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence in their work with patients and families.
