Unlocking Growth Opportunities
The Customer Growth Specialist position at Univar Solutions offers a unique chance to drive business expansion by leveraging consultative selling techniques. This role is responsible for managing a geographic area, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering profitable growth.
About the Position:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow profit share within assigned geographic areas.
- Utilize consultative selling methods to identify and capture new business opportunities at existing and prospective customer accounts.
- Collaborate with Univar and Supplier Technical Service Specialists to enhance customer relationships.
- Implement and maintain high-integrity sampling programs for key customers.
- Ensure seamless customer service levels and effective resolution of complaints through coordination with Customer Service and Operations teams.
- Coordinate with the Purchasing department to ensure timely product availability.
- Utilize Salesforce.com to effectively manage customer information during all planning phases.
- Participate in occasional out-of-town travel, estimated at 4-5 nights per month.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Chemistry).
- A minimum of 3 years of previous outside sales (B2B) and/or customer-facing experience.
- Chemical sales experience is an asset.
- Effective communication skills and ability to relate to individuals at all levels.
- Self-motivated and eager mentality.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.com CRM & Tableau for Data Analytics is an asset.
