About the Role

The Warranty Coordinator is a key member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service to homeowners. This role involves processing inquiries related to service, repairs, or outstanding work, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the Tarion portal daily to identify and print new conciliations and 30-day inspections.
  • Review emergency calls from the previous night or weekend and follow up with homeowners and/or trades.
  • Coordinate repair appointments for Customer Care, Trade Partners, and Homeowners, including 30-day, year-end, two-year, service calls, and MSD inspections.
  • Process all Service Tech paperwork and schedules.
  • Print a daily list of scheduled appointments and contact trades to ensure successful workdays.
  • Reschedule follow-up appointments as necessary.
  • Update Newstar, close calls, add notes, and ensure accurate booking dates.
  • Process invoices in Newstar.
  • Manage vendor cards and the check-in/check-out process.
  • Send weekly Newstar aging reports to trades.
  • Respond to telephone, email, and fax inquiries from homeowners and trade partners.
  • Assist with resolving after-sales complaints.
  • Track and monitor active customer files, ensuring completion within set deadlines.
  • Correspond with the Tarion Warranty Corporation regarding escalated files.
  • Coordinate repairs in model homes as needed.
  • Order materials as instructed by managers, inspectors, or technicians.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or College Diploma in Construction, Home Building, Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of relevant customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Tarion Warranty Corporation Construction Performance Guidelines and Warranty Coverage.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and repair methods.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Customer service focus and teamwork.
