About the Role

The Director of Securities Clearing will be responsible for strategically managing Securities Clearing operations within Global Wholesale Operations. This includes developing and executing strategies that maintain high operational efficiency, effectively manage risks, optimize performance, and support the organization's strategic objectives through robust systems, processes, and people management practices.

This role is critical in driving operational effectiveness by identifying and addressing performance challenges, maintaining key controls, and ensuring the Securities Clearing function can successfully adapt to internal and external changes while meeting organizational goals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior management to understand business plans and priorities, assessing current Securities Clearing capabilities, and identifying and driving resolution of material capability gaps.
  • Direct multi-faceted projects across geographic locations, coordinating with internal departments and external service providers to implement new processes, systems solutions, and controls.
  • Influence and direct Securities Clearing processes across NY, London, and Singapore, supporting multiple business lines including Fixed Income, Global Equities, Derivatives, and Prime Services, ensuring global operational efficiency and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage and develop subordinate staff, ensuring efficient operations and objective attainment, as well as develop and execute strategies to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements

We're looking for an experienced leader with a strong background in securities clearing, settlements, and operations. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years senior management experience in securities, banking, or financial services.
  • Expertise in securities clearing, settlements, and operations.
  • Experience in coaching and performance management.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
