About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Financial Operations and Strategic Partnerships to lead our Finance and Accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, as well as providing strategic guidance to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the month-end close process to gain senior management sign-off and close the books within stated deadlines.
  • Serve as the main contact and owner of auditor relationship; manage the coordination and delivery against interim and year-end audits in accordance with IFRS.
  • Assure accurate, timely preparation and publishing of audited financial statements, all audit support activity, and all shareholder reporting including board of director reporting.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to external stakeholders.
  • Hold oversight and accountability for the review and signoff of all Finance and Accounting journal entries and account reconciliations and analyses.

Requirements:
  • Candidates must hold a CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA designation and have 7+ years of direct accounting-related experience.
  • 5+ years of managerial experience with direct reports and driving performance is required.
  • Audit, treasury, and investment experience is considered an asset.
  • Current, up-to-date knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and ability to adapt to changing financial regulations and company policies is necessary.
