**Overview of the Position:**

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Director to join our team at Ontario Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating IT operations across multiple areas, including Project Management, Security, Applications & Development, Service Desk, Collaboration, Configuration, and Network Management.

**Job Summary:**

The IT Operations Director will provide crucial operational support to the Vice President of Information Technology and Facilities, working closely with the broader IT Director team. Key responsibilities include fostering collaboration and high performance across all IT portfolios and areas, ensuring IT operations are aligned with ongoing and upcoming projects, and overseeing the implementation of security measures to ensure data protection.

**Responsibilities:**

Leadership and Coordination:

  • Foster collaboration and high performance across all IT portfolios and areas.
  • Act as the lead liaison between the IT Operations team and the broader IT Director team in the areas of Project Management, Security, Applications & Development, Service Desk, Collaboration, Configuration, and Network Management.

Operational Oversight:

  • Oversee all IT-related projects to ensure that all ongoing and planned projects are aligned with operational capabilities and strategic objectives.
  • Provide input on project planning, resource allocation, and risk assessments ensuring operational readiness and minimizing potential disruptions.

Strategic Support and Planning:

  • Collaborate with the VP of Information Technology and other Directors to align IT operations with organizational goals and strategies.
  • Lead the development and implementation of IT process maps, operational strategies, policies, and procedures.

Security and Compliance:

  • Work closely with the Director IT Security to enforce security protocols, manage risks, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Ensure regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and disaster recovery plans are executed.

Service Delivery and Support:

  • Drive IT services, assisting in the delivery of high-quality and timely assistance to end-users through the service desk.
  • Coordinate with IT leadership and teams across Ontario Health to support smooth transitions from project implementation to ongoing operations, ensuring adequate training and documentation.

Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement:

  • Establish performance benchmarks and KPIs for IT operations, continuously monitoring and adjusting to meet or exceed targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service delivery and operational efficiency.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

- College Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Agile Project Management experience.

- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT, with a focus on IT operations and project management.

- Experience with IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile).

- Proven experience in a leadership role within an IT department.

- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, system administration, security protocols, and service management.

- Proven ability to manage diverse IT teams and projects, including multi-disciplinary functions (Project Management, Service Desk, Security).

**Salary and Benefits:**

The salary range for this position is estimated to be $135,901.37 to $162,272.94 per year, based on the industry standard and location.
