We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Risk Analyst to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. As a Risk Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of market risk exposures reporting.

About the Opportunity

You will have the chance to apply your analytical skills and big-picture thinking to develop IT infrastructure, understand key market risk factors, and provide subject matter expertise in understanding risk profiles from different business lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, accurate, and complete market risk reporting and analysis
  • Understand, analyze, and communicate drivers and trends of risks for RBC and key sub-portfolios
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Value-at-Risk (VaR), Stressed VaR, Specific Risk (SR), and Stress Testing methodologies
  • Partner with colleagues to develop analytical tools and deliver risk insights

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a credit or market risk function
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and trading businesses
  • Thorough knowledge of traded products and their associated risks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, Tableau/Power BI, SQL, VBA, and Python programming languages
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information clearly

What We Offer

We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards Program, including bonuses, flexible benefits, and competitive compensation. Our salary range is between $65,000 to $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
