Job Title: Strategic Counterparty Risk Analyst

Salary:

$80,000 - $110,000 per year

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Counterparty Risk Analyst to join our team in Collateral Risk Management. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for mitigating counterparty credit risk through effective monitoring and management of client portfolios.

As a Strategic Counterparty Risk Analyst, you will work closely with various teams, including credit, middle office, legal, front office, settlements, and corporate treasury, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Your primary focus will be on daily monitoring of client portfolios, issuing and receiving collateral calls to minimize credit risk. You will also review margin tickets entered into the collateral system, resolve and escalate collateral issues, and contribute to process reviews in accordance with Collateralized Trading Credit Policy.

In addition to these core responsibilities, you will be expected to contribute innovative ideas to enhance risk management practices, seek opportunities for process reengineering, and perform control functions to ensure the integrity of our processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least two years of capital market experience or relevant collateral management experience
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or another quantitative discipline
  • CFA and/or FRM would be considered an asset
