Gerry Enns Contracting, a family-owned company with an 85-year history in British Columbia, is seeking a skilled Project Manager to support its various projects throughout the Okanagan region.

The ideal candidate will have a diverse skillset and a proven track record of managing construction projects from start to finish. They will be responsible for organizing and overseeing construction procedures, ensuring timely and efficient completion, and coordinating a team of professionals to achieve the best results.

Purpose: To plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects, including commercial properties, and ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate in accordance with Emil Anderson Group's Core Values and uphold a zero-injury culture.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, engineers, architects, and clients to determine project specifications.
  • Negotiate contracts, award contracts, and manage subcontractors.
  • Review shop drawings for coordination and submit RFIs and Submittals.
  • Develop and plan project requirements, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Coding of all job costs and monthly reporting on financial project status.
  • Chairing of required project meetings and development of project schedules.
  • Write scope of work documents and supervise staff.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Commercial/Residential Project Manager.
  • In-depth understanding of construction and project management principles.
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with Worksafe BC safety standards and good knowledge of MS Office, including MS Project.
  • Familiarity with Vista by Viewpoint is an asset, as is PMP or equivalent certification and Red Seal trade qualification.
