About the Opportunity

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Health Care Social Worker to join our team. As a member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide collaborative, holistic care on the primary to quaternary care continuum.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from a recognized university and current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers. Previous experience working in a community-based setting is preferred, and the ability to use a client-/family-centered approach is essential.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience with group facilitation, biopsychosocial assessments, and excellent communication skills. They will also be able to assist patients and families with navigation of local community resources and agencies.

This is a permanent full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly, and travel to various sites is required. The hourly rate is $33.96 - $42.89, and successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package.
